A Long Expected Change (get the reference?)

Good evening,
Let me start this off by sharing a link for one or two of my Pinterest boards that will be a source of inspiration for the journey ahead.

Healthy Eating
In the morning, I plan to measure certain parts of my body (arms, legs, waist) and weigh myself. I will also take pictures of my current body. These will help to encourage me as I lose weight by showing me the progress I have made. It will be encouragement in at least three ways: outward looks aka physical appearance, actual size aka inches, and weight aka numbers. I know this is going to have to be a conscious change in lifestyle habits. It won’t be easy. This picture perfectly sums up what has become the final straw in being heavy and unhealthy. See below.
I would rather choose Hard #1. I’m tired of choosing Hard #2.
My current goals are to implement these daily changes:
· Drink at least 8 cups of water a day
· Intermittent fast 16:8 (workdays 12-8, weekends 10-6)
· Count calories
· Get out and move every day off work for at least 30 minutes
· Try to incorporate healthier eating habits
Once I weigh myself and take measurements, I will share them in a post as this entire blog is a documentation of my journey and that would be a crucial part to leave out. I will not add the photos at this time as I am still quite self-conscious and would also rather wait to share them until my goal has been reached. Who knows, maybe I will brave it and add them at some point. No promises.
My goal, aside from leading a healthier lifestyle, is to lose approximately 100lbs. Today, I went on a 20-minute bike ride and then a 20-minute walk later in the evening with my family. I began counting calories today but was rather generous and lax. I intent to start in earnest tomorrow. I have a trip planned tomorrow to buy some groceries and smoothie fixings. I researched some ideas for prepping smoothies and will implement these tomorrow as well. I’ll report back on that.
Tomorrow, when I have more time, I shall write a post regarding who I am, an autobiography of sorts. A short one, in the least. Until then, thank you for reading and I cannot wait to see what hard work, dedication, and persistence can accomplish.
P.s.
I may have a “Healthy Living” type label and a “Spanish Notes” sort of label to organize my blog better as I plan to continue my Spanish learning journey presently. They will be simple posts almost like one would find in a notebook from school. It is a method in which I learn things more easily, so, why not include it in my blog?
